We give thanks to God for the generosity of the Theodore Edson Parker Foundation which has awarded a grant $45,000 to our Day Center. This grant will help pay the salaries for our excellent staff; coffee and other supplies for our guests; and overhead expenses like utilities, maintenance, and insurance.
Eliot Day Center Awarded $30,000
Earlier this year, Eliot Church applied to the American Rescue Plan Act Ad-Hoc Grant Program through the City of Lowell. This week we received the following letter:
“On behalf of the City Manager Thomas A. Golden Jr., the City Council, and the City of Lowell, we are pleased to inform you that Eliot Presbyterian Church meets the criteria for this program and has been approved for an award of $30,000 for the project Eliot Day Center. Awards for these federal funds was very competitive. Congratulations on your achievement!”
